Elected Fellow of the Royal Institute of Navigation in 2011 and Fellow of the Nautical Institute in 2017 in recognition of his pioneering contributions to navigational assessment, onboard training, and maritime safety standards. Over the past 23 years, he has led numerous navigation audits and onboard assessments, delivering operational improvements that strengthen safety, compliance, and bridge resource management.
Highly experienced in advising shipowners, legal teams, P&I Clubs, underwriters, and operators on complex marine incidents and risk matters. Specialist knowledge includes bulk carrier, OBO, and tanker operations, bridge procedure development, tanker safety coordination, and the delivery of Navigational Safety Management Systems and PMSC Risk Assessments for major UK ports
